What‘s the Secret of the hole

Recommended Posts

Rick

I went to my dealer today to ask if my T7 is in sight. Unfortunately no. But he had 2 T7 on site for a cooperation with KEDO. This was my chance to see if the hole on the swingarm of the Concept Bike is still there, as I saw it at a trade show. Yes, it is. Closed with a rubber cap. Does anyone know what this is for?

Weight savings? Yamaha have been trying hard on this bike. Wouldn't be very much, though.

Without seeing the bike in person, it's either a bolt access hole or a byproduct of manufacturer production step such as machining or welding???

My 2012 wr250f has one...allows access to the dog bone link...

I believe it is to facilitate the casting process.
