Went out riding west of Utah lake. Took a route in reverse I have taken before, and thought "I bet this detour will connect up". It didn't, but it got close enough that I went for some over-land riding. I wasn't the first person to ride between the pines, but it was anything but well traversed and had a few scary moments. I got very close to testing my Tusk crash bars out, but managed to keep my ass upright this time.
I did connect up to the road I had hoped the detour would route too, and it was the most extreme riding I have done to date. Getting more comfortable on the bike, however I still have a ways to go around control, especially low RPM technical riding.
