Foam air filter

Its fine if its a freshly oiled filter in average conditions. What i don't like is that it drains off from the filter, and is not good in extreme dusty conditions. I’m talking about the talc or poof dirt in Nevada and is my experience from desert racing and also working on customer machines. A good filter oil has a carrier that makes consistent application throughout the filter and when it evaporates leaves a tacky, stringy oil that stops the dust. Twin Air and Maxima are great filter oils and do what i talked about.

This has been my experience too.

Thanks for the extra information gents. I am new to re-usable oiled filters, I have some no-toil to try and will keep an eye out for issues in those conditions.
