Resetting the clock

The clock was set spot on from the dealer. I disconnected the battery cables to add something. This un set the clock. I referred to the instructions to reset and found that I could net bring up the SET configuration. I had followed the instructions to a T: no result. So I tried not following instructions, and still no result. All other functions on the speedo meter are fine, I was able to navigate around after reading owner manual. It is just the time setting has me stumped. With the key off and system powered down, pushing the  two top buttons brings up the clock. Then from there I followed instructions to cycle through numbers to set. All I can achieve is to bring up displayed time with the key off.

2200 miles in a month, and this is the only issue so far.

That's odd, I disconnected my battery for ten mins then reset the clock as per the manual. Ignition on, hold both buttons until flashing then upper for hours and lower to move to minutes I think?

From the 2020 Euro manual: pg 3-8

https://www.yamaha-motor.eu/cy/en/service-maintenance/owner-manual/

To set the clock
1. Turn the key to “ON”.
2. Push the bottom set button and
top set button together until the
hour digits start flashing.
3. Push the bottom set button to set
the hours.
4. Push the top set button and the
minute digits will start flashing.
5. Push the bottom set button to set
the minutes.
6. Push the top set button to confirm
settings and start the clock."

Since the RH handlebar select switch can be used instead of the bottom set button on the MFD, maybe try that instead?

Thanks, yall. Fixed it. The key must be ON, then press top and bottom buttons together to get to the SET phase. The North America bike manual is not clear on this.
