Short circuit of the battery caused by the tool kit under the saddle.

Recommended Posts

Be aware!Im riding the trans European trail now in Vosges France  and during heavy off road riding electronics went off and on.i stopped directly and heard a short circuit under the seat.thought it was the cable from the battery.opened the seat and saw it was a wrench from the tool kit that short circuit the battery.bike got 2000k now.i didn’t opened te seat before or touched the tool kit.i have my own. I don’t know where the tool kit is supposed to be and probably the chances of this happening is very small.if this would have happend just after parking the motorcycle could have been a disaster.this is for everybody to know that it can happen and to check te place of the tool kit.

OUCH!...glad you and bike both are okay...

this is also why I always put stock tools (if it comes with any) into rolls, tubes or in those combination together with all other tools.
