Hello fellow Tenere 700 fans! Picked up my new bike on Thursday and already 'christened' it with a drop on a steep clay-filled hill :-)

Must have bits and pieces compiled and pricing out - Barkbuster handguards, bash plates and lower crash bars for a start... any suggestions gratefully taken on board. Straight out of the box, this bike is awesome and will be keeping me happy for years to come... see you off the road!!! Pic shows my MT09 Tracer that I traded for my shiny new bike.

You 'Strayans' have some of the best bits available right at home. B&B bashplate looks bombproof & their tail tidy too. Of course the barkbusters are a winner. Pivot pegz ( though mine came from Texas, they may have moved?)

The gents over at MAD TV on the YouTube have plenty of practical suspension & other advice. You lot down there got practicality sussed. Happy trails from Vancouver island BC!

Welcome from the Upper Hunter. Mine was christened in a creek crossing ( slight mark to the muffler ) then again in the garage ( tiny crack to the right fairing ) then again yesterday when I fell over turning around in front of a swollen creek.

Great bike and you will have fun.

Get some crash bars ( OEM ok ) Barkbusters, B&B bash plate and tail tidy. I also have there rack but I had to make my own adapters as it only fits over the standard seat ( I have the rally ). Fit a chain guide. I waited and waited for the OEM and fitted an Acerbis instead ( instructions in a thread here )
