With all this Global Supply Issues going on right now. I figured it wouldn't hurt and pick up a couple Yamaha OEM filters, since I was close to a dealer this past weekend. So I picked up a couple filters but didn't notice the part number was different? My T7 had an OEM P/N 5GH-13440-61 on it from the previous owner getting the first service done on the bike. The filters the dealer gave me are P/N 5GH-13440-71, and they said the -71 is a replacement for the -61 that they can no longer get???

Has anyone else seen this new part number 5GH-13440-71?

I ask because I have searched and can't find anything that says the -71 replaces the -61.

Even the official Yamaha Canada Parts Cataloged website still lists the P/N 5GH-13440-61 on their website.

If you google number 5GH-13440-71, it says its for marine outboards.

If you wanna do deep river crossings, maybe, i personally would not use it...

Anyone used a K&P Engineering filter?

I'm looking for a K&P reusable filter now - and the K&P site shows the Super Tenere & XTZ7 as being a model S1:

Not many distributors in the US - not even sure if this is a real website:

But I'm going with a K&P on my Honda XR650L, and want to switch over to the K&P on my T7 eventually too.

I first used one as a trial on a 2001 WR400F

It was then transferred to subsequent 450s before selling the last one.

I then had one on a F800GS.

With the fall in the Aussie dollar it makes import items expensive.

I have been buying disposable filters from the local auto supplier.

Probably Chinese made but to Aussie specs.

I rated the filters and they were easy to clean with some degreaser and compressed air if available.

I may look at one in the near future if funds permit ( currently unemployed )

Alcohol! No good story starts with a salad.
