Removing rear brake caliper

Hi

 

do i need to remove the rear wheel to remove the rear brake caliper because I need to reinstall the snall rubber part that retain this caliper!

Save yourself the PITA dealing with the rear caliper when doing tire changes by holding it to the swing arm 

with a quick tie.  Otherwise, you will need three hands to align everything during the re-install.  The picture

shows where the tie goes around the swing arm ...... it threads the caliper and keeps the caliper against the swing arm.

On a former bike I strugged with a similar set up with lots os swearing, poking and prodding. Your way appears to be eminatly sensible! Nice one

Great tip thanks, struggled like a bastard before putting new stainless steel bushs on 😤
