Gone Forest because of the Bark beetle gave me the opportunity to realise that stock tyres are not made for slippery roots 🤪

Finally coming out of COVID lockdown in Melbourne Australia (10 straight days of zero cases) so went and picked up my T7 today. Now all I have to do is fit all the gear I’ve been stockpiling for the last four months while we’ve been shut in.

Stuff I’m going to fit this weekend:

* Tusk racks and top rack

* Nylon bolts for fork covers

* Seat release from Rally Raid

* Headlight protector from Where’s Zed

* Screen protector for display

Stuff I’m waiting on

* Mainstand from Yamaha

* Crash bars from Yamaha

* Bash Plate from B&B engineering

Hi fellow T700 nuts, Lofty here from North Queensland in Australia. Nearly finished my T700 build in preparation for a few long outback trips.

Barret shorty pipe, full Bumot soft bags/racks, Pro Taper bars and 30mm risers, Heed crash bars, O M bash plate, Garmin GPS, MOTOZ Rally rear tyre, Pirelli MT21 Rally front, and new pajama's

How do you like the Bumot racks and bags? I have Bumot hard panniers on my Super Tenere and plan on adding Bumot to the Tenere.

They are the most secure and strongest bags/racks I have ever used. Very impressed with them.

This picture is from the 2020 AMA Nat Adv Series Fall Legends Ride  put on by the Athens M/C club in Southern Ohio , the day started off frosty & cold but warmed up,  it was a 48 mile ride to & from the clubhouse from the cabin my wife & l rented & the club had a 150 mile route sheet for Saturday made up of brilliant back country gravel / 2 lane  country road , my T7 was great for the sat ride but we couldn't stay for the sun ride .  I sure could of used my oem grip heaters sat morning on my ride to the clubhouse as my hands were the only part of me that got cold but l just had to tough it out .

Went for a ride today. 500km round trip. Cairns to Blencoe falls via Mt Garnet. Down the Kirrama Range and back home. Tenere loved it

Here's mine at our local landmark, the Big Bur Oak near Columbia Missouri. The largest bur oak in the country and around 400 years old

Perfect bike to explore Tasmania 🤘 and the bigger part of the country.

Current mods.

Ram mount mirrors, bark busters (not shown) ,sw motech crash bars and water pump cover, axp skid plate, mitas e90 dakar boots and andystraps rack and bags.

New spring for the rear coming and fork preload caps. Then more shenanigans on every ridgeline we can find.

Got my T7 setup almost all the way, did my Outex conversion, high exhaust, and decent tires.

Just need the weather to clear up so they stop salting the roads so I can out and riding
