Question for tire industry insider

Looking for opinions from anyone involved in tire manufacturing.  Recently our storage unit was affected by a fire that gutted nearby units.  Our unit was 40' from the units that were gutted and although there was no water damage in ours,  there is definitely smoke and soot damage.  Heat damage is my concern for the $300+ in T7 tires I had stored there. I understand that tires are subjected to a fair amount of heat during the manufacturing process and heat buildup during use but, aside from the obvious signs of checking or blemishes on the tire, anything I should look for?

If someone wants to suggest that I turn it into insurance,  my deductible is $500 and total coverage for the entire claim is only $5,000. This is a crappy reminder to read the fine print of policies as although my renters policy was rated at $50,000 for contents, "off-site storage" is only covered to 10%.  The storage unit company has enough non liability disclaimers that it would take a heap of legal bills to recover anything from them, so we're out of pocket for the $500 plus anything that goes above ( and surely will with clean up fees) the $5,000 coverage.

Any suggestions as how to tell if my tires are good to go ( or not)  would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hopefully no one here has to go through this mess of a cleanup,  but here's an answer I received on another forum from a retired gentleman at Goodyear.

"Inspect the INSIDE of the tires. Specifically you’re looking at the inner liner for small little pebbles of rubber or signs of scarring. AFTER mounting and inflating the tires look for bubbles in the sidewalls. If you don’t see any of those things you should be good to go."
