Hi, sorry for bringing this post from the dead, but would  it be possible to provide a photo from the rear of the bike that clearly shows how much clearance there is between the exhaust and the swingarm? Also did you manage to drop it from that side, any issues with clearance of the exhaust? Does it come with a removable baffle? I also like the old school look a lot...

I would guess there is about an inch clearence.

A 60 degree pipe and a 30 degree pipe together with a step pipe will do the trick together with a silencer of your choise.

An old Arrow R6 silencer that was really beaten up, but it worked.

A Dominator silencer, cheap but works well.

I want this bike to be quiet, and with this one it´s 79 db @4500 rpm (with my own DB-killer)

I prefer the lenght of the Arrow silencer, so I might shorten the dominator in the future.

I tried a very small silencer as I liked the size, but it sounded really, really bad.

Do you have any more info on how you mounted it, like that little clamp on the frame? Pictures maybe?

My high mount HP Corse has arrived from Italy. Should have it mounted in a couple days.

Personal opinion is the high exhausts  look tacky. But hey, different strokes and all.

The real issue with T7 exhaust is the midpipe section. Buy a slip on and it will fit your standard header, alternatively,  but a header without a Cat and it will fit you standard muffler. Therefore you get the same restriction either way you go.

The standard muffler/silencer does a pretty good job and is not too restricted and is easily modified by opening up both ends and drilling moderate holes in the baffle plates. Stick a header pipe on and run a 2 inch system into your muffler.  Breathes so much better, is not obnoxious and looks stock.

In all honesty, the stock muffler looks like Shet and sticks out where it can do damage to itself and the bike if dropped.  Tacky or not, it is for function for the way I bash around.  Some of the stainless creations are starting to show up as builders get to have a look at the stock set up.  I would guess some fabshop guys will start to build tenere kits as they are selling well.

Here's my two cents. For reference, I mounted my muffler to my Yamaha OEM top rack and it was a good compromise. Huzar pipe + FMF can

Been a owner of T7 for 3 months now and starting to get a feel like its the time to start modifying it.

Stock muffler and cat has been always on the prio list after I got my heated grips and a rally seat. But now I have been hitting my head to a wall for five night searching through internet which header manufacturer to go for! I dont know what I'm afraid but I guess I wouldnt want to pay close to premium and leave wondering if I should have stepd it up!

So for you who have already riden with Leovince, Scrorpion, Arrow or SC-project headers give me something to grab! And I am looking for the stainless steel option just because of the money.

I mean there is so little differences to find via spec sheets that it is hard to convince myself to pay 100€++ more for SC project not mention akra headers over Arrow or Leovince. Even the price between Leo and arrow seem quite big in % vice.

So I am about to order a Leovince one, but if you have anything to add here to make it brake it please do so.

I have spotted that arrow has a slightly different bends in pictures than Leovince or SC-project and weight are inside 0,5kg between them in order SC < Leo < arrow but still no huge differencies.

Thank you for anyone who contributes to my endless googling pain.

Is it possible to buy just the link pipe from Huzzar? Or do you have to buy the whole system muffler and link pipe?

I would like to just purchase the upswept link pipe.

Here is the sound of the HP CORSE ..

My concern about it, is if it will melt the indicator.

Do you think they will resist the heat ?

and my concern about this:

Is if you have to cut/modify the bike to mount it...

Thanks for all the posts showing different high mount solutions.

I made my own mid pipe with a super trapp style muffler. I'll probably remake it from stainless at some point since I prefer the bare metal look over painted pipe.

It's certainly not perfect or quite how I originally pictured it, but it's plenty functional and held up fine to a drop and some trail miles.

edit: stock headers, stock frame hanger, no cutting of any stock components. Completely reversible. Used 2" exhaust tubing. 2 90° bends and a short section of straight

Anyone know if Arrow headers with cat delete are compatible with Outback Motortek skid plate?  I have the OM skid plate and an Arrow slip-on and would like to add headers and get the @2 Wheel DynoWorks flash done.  I would prefer to not have to get a different skid plate ... but I'm unsure if there is much difference in how headers fit.  Appreciate any info from those with similar set ups, and sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.

If you do remake, let me know how much you want for that one with postage to Oz 😉 (Seriously)

We have changed the position of the Akrapovic system for more ergonomy and functionality. The main issue with the exhaust was solved. If you ride the bike offroad it is very important to change the original position of the exhaust no metter what tipe of exhaust you use. Mine is a stock Akrapovic exhaust modified to fit into the new place.  20211022_111120.thumb.jpg.9df94e49151c742299fde09ebb549d17.jpg

Hey Andy, where did you get sticker kit from pls? Looks awesome. I tried to order it from upshift but they have no shipping to Europe. Thanks

Hey Doc,

i bought the sticker kit in Hamburg/Germany.

Look here:

titelbild.jpg

Top Motorradhändler für Yamaha, Suzuki, Piaggio, Vespa etc. | Neu & gebraucht | Erstklassige Beratung | ✔ Jetzt Termin vereinbaren!

Ask for Félix and send him best regards from me. Then ask for the kit and I'm sure it will be able to help you. I was inspired by my own XTZ750 for this kit, because my XTZ 750 has been using this design since 1993. Felix created the design himself on the PC according to my wishes and at some point we thought my design was perfect and Félix then had it printed and glued on by specialist staff.

It is pure coincidence that Upshift has an almost identical kit on offer. When I had my kit done by Dumke&Lütt, I didn't know anything about Upshift's kit, I wasn't even aware of them as a European. But I admit that their T7 in blue looks really first-class. Good luck in Hamburg. Feel free to contact me again: Sartene add tenere.de

Best wishes, Andy

P.S. The picture shows my own XTZ 750 in my Design. And the guy, who is sitting on my bike….Stephane Peterhansel. The best Dakar Rider ever. Taken this picture 2003 at Treflé Lozerien/France….💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
