Is it considered a swear word around here...?

So, i'm still waiting for delivery of my Tenere and i've been spending a lot of time on the forum learning as much as I can about the bike...I don't think i've ever been better prepared for anything in my life.

Now, unless i've missed it somewhere I haven't seen any mention of carrying pillions on the bike. Is it considered a swear word? Or is it considered a sinful practice?

My friends, neighbours and wife will not ride on the back of a motorcycle at anytime let alone on the back of mine.  Suits me fine.  I like my time on the motorcycle without the pillion.  And now that I'm older and my memory is fading, if my guest falls of I may not remember I was carrying one.
