TechSpec snake skins, Caution when purchasing

Recommended Posts

I recently cut to shape and installed the Techspec snake skins grip pads to the tank and small plastic panel

that sit's just below the front of the seat. I heated up the surfaces prior to attaching. I noticed the next day that

the small piece on the plastic portion had come loose, I heated up again and used a roller to apply pressure.

The next day the same problem.  I've contacted techspec , they said the product I got marked  # 0002 was not intended

for the plastic ,it has weaker bonding material then there products that have the numbers  #0003 on the

labeling .    There is nothing on the packaging that states what product will stick to plastic or steel. This should be clearly marked

on there packaging . The fellow offered me a discount and wanted to sell me an entire new kit at the cost of over 100.00 , in which case I would be into these pads for over 200.00, I declined his generous offer.  So.. Be careful when purchasing this product .
