What have you done for your T7 today?

Just a quick air filter change. Used the Tusk Tenere 700 specific foam filter from RMATV. Looks like it's not a low quality piece of crap and is reusable. Spray on your filter oil and compress below the snorkel cap. Ezpz

Me too, do you use soft luggage or the alloy boxes?

I use the alloy boxes

I come from 15 years of GSA and I lived my boxes

Double up as seat/table/cooking table

I am no hard-core off reader

More a bike traveller which likes to explore dirt tracks as well

The old Military roads in the Alps are high on my list to do. Done some on my GSA 2up and it was doable.

Solo now on the WR should be easy

I have the SW Pro's as well and am using 30L soft bags with them right now. But, I have a water tank mounted under this one and it's a total PIA to get to.  If I could just leave the bags on the bike the whole trip they would be fine.  Well, that and when I'm not solo we tend to "adventure tour" more and  stop at places that I really want to lock everything up.  So I'm not sure this set up is a keeper.  I am learning things at least- I've learned I like a top access system.  These bags are top access.  I don't like the flip down side access a lot of the plastic cases do.  At all... So I may be succumbing to the expensive aluminum ones.

Not pushing my particular Tusk Aluminum cases for sale due to shipping costs, but if you haven't checked them out, you owe it to yourself to do so.  They're bombproof, easy access liftoff top loading lid and quick off/on release to use as a seat/table or take into a motel.  Versatile too, I strapped a one piece seat and 9 linear feet (3' lengths) of 1x12 lumber across the top of the cases making the T7 dang near a pickup truck. 😉

Shop for Luggage, like Tusk Aluminum Panniers with Pannier Racks at Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. We have the best prices on dirt bike, atv and motorcycle parts, apparel and accessories and offer...

Finally (after more than a year of it sitting on a shelf), I have fitted the Acerbis tank (surprisingly straightforward, even for someone as mechanically inept as me). Now have both the Acerbis and Camel tanks fitted, so around 27 litre capacity. Took it for a test ride and can't say I noticed any difference in handling, even with all that fuel on board. Happy days!

I like it!  But I already have side racks and I like the ones I have because they can be easily removed in just a few seconds to make way for my day trip set up.  I think the Tusk are not easily removable?

Very nice!  They are big, like around 40L?

If they are what i've found, they are spendy too.  Im thinking of an adapter kit from SW that would allow me to put Givi 36 L's on the SW racks right now.  But the adapter kit is out of stock.

I think the exhaust side is 38l and the chain side is 44l, really well made and alloy welded, with a specific plastic cap to box opening and lid, fitted with a dust and waterproof rubber weather seal, guaranteed!

I bought them last summer at the UK ABR festival, when every pannier set up was on display - Touratech/Bumot/Givi/Holan/Mosko Moto/SW Motech et al

I chose the SW Motech as they loked the best built and will also accept my Wolfman Adventure soft panniers too, the SW Motech frames are removable in 2-3 minutes, with quick release Dzus type fasteners and the small brackets are unobtrusive, without the frames and normally I run without the frames day to day

Panniers are German quality and made in Germany, not the Far East

At the ABR Festival I got a 20% reduction, so the panniers came to £600 or just over for both panniers/locks/lid cargo nets and pannier inner bags (I already had the frames)

Easily removable, 5 -10 seconds?  Video shows mounting at 6:50.  The intro shows they apparently also help with wheelies!

Today I installed the Helibars Tour Performance handlebar risers. It has helped my posture tremendously. I really had to reach for the stock bars and it would hurt my back after 45 minutes or so. I'm not the most mechanically inclined and it only took me maybe 30 minutes. Here are a few pictures at full lock. The clutch cable is definitely a little snug but I didn't feel any resistance when turning. Any input on cable tightness would be appreciated. Everything seems ok to me.

Soooo jealous of you guys in Europe!

I can just barely get to a couple neighboring states and back in that time.  And there's nowhere as much difference between our states, as compared from hopping from one country to another

It took up a huge chunk of my saturday but I finally swapped off the K60 Rangers and put the Dunlop Trailmax Missions back on. Don't see myself needing knobbies on the big girl anytime soon, and it will be nice to lean the thing over in the turns again. DTMs will poke holes in your tire changing technique, freaking heck the rear was difficult.

@advsquid I have the Rabaconda street tire changer, made quick work of mounting my K60 scouts. I was most afraid of the rear and I can honestly say i timed the mounting of the rear ( on my tubeless conversion) at 3 minutes from bare rim to K60 Scout fully mounted.  If you have the bucks, the Rabaconda is the easiest way to mount and unmount ADV tires.
