Rottweiler mirror bracket and CRG mirrors!

I was curious about Barkbusters and Rottweiler combination, finally found one. Could you please share some more photos from different angles?

here are two photos i have

this is "tucked" position for off roading

back borns of barkbusters are quite thick, so i may need longer bolts

Wouldn't happen to have a picture from the side up close?

I am also curious about up close position, are there enough free play area to adjust when there is wind deflector is mounted. I use Barkbusters with its own wind deflectors which is closer to hand than the actual plastic. I guess that needs to be taken into account when choosing the drilling points.  @roy826 @troxxos

these are the best shot i have now

i think i drilled holes too closely to the plastic guard

best clearance without wind deflectors😂

I have removed my add on deflectors they seemed to rake back to much for my liking.  @troxxos above does not have them on his either.

I can give up using deflectors If the mirrors are still useful on slightly higher angle (I turn it towards front bottom to have some rise on hand grips and lower angle on levers fro standing position and it works very well). I want to see my back while standing. If these mirrors can provide that, I am gonna buy them.

I have my guards and levers just like you do from the sound of it. I’ve been staring at my bike and these pictures this morning and I think they will work the way I have my levers and guards positioned. I was going to come back towards the handlebar about a 1/4” more than @troxxos did on his.

Ok I went ahead and ordered them. Took the free shipping option so it may take a while to get them. Plus I am planning a little trip middle of next week through the Labor Day weekend. Should have them installed week after next after I source longer mounting bolts at the hardware store.

I hope it serves you well. I will be waiting for some photos! Especially on those angles we talked about:)

I will take up close pics and hopefully what I come up with will work for you. I have KTM friends who all have these very same mirrors and they are just so cool.

Looks awesome for sure 🙂 I am fed up of turning my head back before each corner up ahead, I hope these little fellas will resolve that annoying issue.
Another thing just popped up in my mind that I hope those drills will not reduce the structural rigidity of the Barkbusters. I wouldn't like if they bend easier with those holes because I drop the bike quite a lot 😂

I have thought about the structural integrity of the holes and I don't think it will be an issue unless you were to bend right at the holes in a 90 degree fashion which a fall will not produce.

Cycra Probend CRM handguards finally arrived, just post an update/reply to the ongoing to and fro with me and @tenerecanada @Seventh Son @Davey. Bottomline, they fit pretty well, with a bit of fiddling.

Few things to note:

1. The purchased kit comes with the CRM mount and extension barrel spaces. These are critical in making everything fit 🙂 Refer to attached pictures (barrel spaces are black).

2. I had to adjust the brake hose angle so that it leaves the brake reservoir "tilting upwards", rather than the original dead horizontal position. This allowed the brake hose to pass over the barrel spacer. One of the close up pictures shows the final position of the brake hose - don't think it'd affect the brake system in any way, but if anyone knows better, please let me know!

3. Everything else was pretty textbook. Lots of clearance for levers. I've taken pictures of the bars without plastics for a different point of view 🙂 Think I'll leave them bare for the raw look, not like I need deflectors here in the tropics 😛

Well after reading all these posts for a year, finally got my bike 3 weeks ago. Having a year to daydream, and get the parts I need to make it how I need it to be I had everything waiting until Yamaha could finally deliver. Absolutely LOVE the bike. The motor is fantastic. Very easy to find the speed, no surprises. Linear as they say. Tractable. It's my first Twin, coming from 30 years of only dirt bikes and enduros. I'm needing a bigger bike to go further, Alaska, BC etc but still handle when the tar ends.... and this was as simple and as much a dirt bike can be with a smoother twin motor for street and longevity. The ONLY thing I don't like is the shifter and brake and not being able to lower them. I'm at the max with my rally foot pegs that are 20mm lower than stock and they're still too high so shifting while standing and rallying offroad is brutal. Like the worst ergonomics I've ever had. Waiting for an aftermarket shifter and brake lever to be designed, so hopefully someone soon will come up with this. And the brake lever is just too far inboard. Other than that, here she is. New and now. Quick list if you're interested in mods for of a off-road focus like me:

Camel Adv Gut Guard

Camel Adv Anti Bobble Head

Camel Adv high fender mount

UFO SuperMoto fender

T7 Rally tail tidy

T7 Rally seat joining mod

T7 Rally Rally Pegs

T7 rally wind screen riser

BellissiMoto axel slide and nut

Cycra Hand guards

Motz Tractionator RallyZ

TripleClamp case guards

LED blinkers with Day light running for front and rear better visibility

Pro Taper Low bars

Big thanks to @Camel ADV for making such great stuff. I could hear rocks pinging off the skid plate gut guard all day today rallying 50mph down a dirt, loose rocky road. Not even a mark. Peace of mind. And the T7 screen adjuster is absolutely brilliant.

@johnnygolucky The bike is looking real nice and those tires make it look like a real dirtbike. 👏 That's incentive enough for me to hurry up and get my RallZ installed.

You wont believe the difference. The stock tires are great street tires. Really good actually. But much of my riding is off-road. And these RallyZ are just awesome. Took about 20-30 minutes to get familiar with how the bike handles on pavement with them. Very different. You can feel them when leaned over a bit. Not bad, just different. I wont be racing twists not hem but I didnt buy them for that. I'd keep the stock street tires on for that. But once you are familiar the tradeoff of perhaps a little less security on tar is overwhelmingly positive when going on dirt. Today I was BLASTING at 40-60 mph down dirt, loose with random holes and washed over half buried rocks and the grip on these is just incredible. Confidence, including breaking. ABS off and I could lock and drift when I needed it to.

If your focus is street, the stock tires are great. If it's speed on dirt, these are the ticket.

@johnnygolucky To be quite honest, I wouldn't recommend these china-made levers... it's very obvious they are not manufactured to the same precise standards as the japanese/european options. I'll be looking out towards Zeta/ASV for a change soon.

They look good, I must say 🙂 but there's so much play between all the various pieces. I'm not talking about cable free play, here, mind you... taking the "ball end" of the lever and moving it vertically, I'd say it'd be able to move ~1cm.

Links below if you want to give it a go... at least they're cheap! 😉
