Got rid of that annoying gas cap. Now my tank bag sits much better:

Billet Proof Designs is a custom aftermarket motorcycle parts company & retail store. Shop through our affordable motorcycle parts, gear, and accessories!

Pretty simple. Cut out the old parts of the tank and weld this in. Just leave your vent tube still connected in the bottom.

I would post more pictures but this is annoying I can only do two at a time.

Today I bought some Oxford Adventure heated grips. I 3D printed a bracket for the control box to mount it nicely on the handle bar and I found a "like new" OEM Yamaha rear topcase rack for a bargain price of 100 euro's (new 230).

So now I have to wait for the delivery guy to drop all the stuff off and I can get to work on the bike!

After much deliberation and research I've finally fitted SRC upper crash bars.

Nice finish and easy installation.

@rumrum bought these crash bars to my attention with one of his posts.

Foot peg change today. A number of options out there and not interested in the huge ones that look like they could trap an animal. Went with some OEM YZ/WR pegs and springs. Simple swap over. Just a little bigger than stock and don’t look like something is missing with the rubber inserts removed. I liked them on my YZ so should be happy on my T7.

Cheers

Julia

edit: I ordered mine from Partzilla, part numbers as follows:

Left peg: 5XC-27411-M2-00

Left spring: 90508-28015-00

Right peg: 5XC-27421-M2-00

Right springs: 90508-28018-00

Mini first aid should you carry in backpack, because if you had need it, you have not enough time to crawl to bike or/because of injures when are to serious. Additionally engine heat is not good for consents of the aid kit.

Think about torniquet and carry in the backpack to: https://www.gratoria.pl/pol_pl_Staza-taktyczna-opaska-uciskowa-2560_1.jpg

Good advice thank you ,  but i have being trying to ditch the backpack and put my camelbak in my tank bag , also have my plb on the tank bag

Be better on me

So, in the end I went for the Heed Bunker bars and I have to say i'm very pleased with them. They were easy to fit and do seem to be very well made.

I also went for the Acerbis X Factory guards because of the yellow covers, not quite a perfect match but close enough to the trim on the bike. They were a bit fiddly to fit but that's probably to be expected with so many interconnecting pieces. I think they look great, so that is all that matters.

The kit included replacement pieces for the bar end weights.

This morning's commute included a stretch of 120kmph dual carriageway and the lack of bar end weights had no effect on the handlebars.

I ordered the guards from Off the Road in Germany. When I finished installing them I started to clear up the packaging and found a little packet of Haribo Jellies in the bottom of the box...a nice touch that will bring me back as a customer.

Put on some GB Racing Engine and Water Pump covers on and fitted some Bridgestone AX41s and Michelin Heavy Duty tubes.  Did the tyres myself (first time I've tried)....went reasonably ok, by the time I realised I'd put the front tyre on the wrong way round and took it off and on again I got the hang of it 🤪

Installed the Altrider rear rack.  Looks good, solid mount.

one drawback perhaps, doesn’t fit with the OEM solo seat cowl

Installed Outback Motortek Luggage Rack Kit (sourced from MX1West). The grab handles are just right for moving the bike around and engaging the center stand. The rack size and placement is just how I want it and drilled for Rotopax mount. The fitment was OK. Fit everything loosely then snug around until it's all tight.

P.S. Also removed the helmet warning and cleaning solution stickers. The Thought Police will probably arrest me now.

Made my own skid plate from fibreglass carbon Kevlar. I used the existing bash plate as a template I had an extension of aluminium to protect the rear shock on the existing aluminium plate. I ground down the rivets and used cardboard and plasticine to get the finished shape.  I then covered the whole lot with wide masking tape, then used wax and my wife’s hairspray as a release. Layed up one layer of biaxial and 2 layers of carbon Kevlar. Next day I released it from the plug and layed up more biaxial and Kevlar on the inside when this was hard I trimmed everything gave the outside a coat of clear epoxy the inside a coat of grey epoxy paint and sprinkled some paint chips. 2 coats of polyurethane to finish.  I had the polyurethane and epoxy paint other than that the cost was less than $100.
