Used some gutter guard to fashion some additional rad protection.  Zip tied to the inside of the stock rad cover.  About an inch narrower than required so I left the gap at the top where  stones will be less of an issue.

It will do short term until I decide on an aftermarket one or maybe I can find guard slightly wider.

One could use silicone to attach the metal to the grill.  And you could send the expanded metal to the chrome shop and make it look pretty before you install it.

Finally decided to get rid of that horrifyingly bad garmin mount and design one of my own. Seems sturdy enough, but we'll see tomorrow.

Still pondering what I want to do with power source and extra wire though. Well zip ties will suffice until I'll get a heureka-moment.

I added a couple of things I had in storage: a recently found SW Motech rear top rack for a Givi case from my ‘07 KLR that I adapted to the Tusk rear top rack. Then I fitted the V46 Givi case. Also, a sheepskin seat pad (to help until the SC seat arrives in 8-10 weeks).

I added the RR 20mm lowering links yesterday, raised the fork tubes 16 mm, checked the sag and set the suspension settings to the recommendations in the manual.

These pics taken while out for a test ride at Bow Lake, Strafford, NH at sunset:

Added a better horn from eBay only $9 but wow now I have a loud horn that sounds really loud, highly recommend this add on. Fits onto the existing bracket after bending it a little.

Got my barkbusters hardware in today.  I already had the storm guards and put them on.  I think I like them but I'm trying to decide if I like them more than the VPS guards.  These definitely offer more protection from rain and wind.  So I'll try them out for a while and see how I feel.

Did some cheap upgrades. Amazon LED sequential indicators with DRL and tails lights, Ebay Tank and side pads and Ebay side Stand foot....

Side stand foot kinda looks like a putter LOL

How much louder than the stock exhaust is it?

Not that much to be honest. Just gives it a better growl imo. Tried taking out the DB killer but it was too loud for my taste then 😅

Nice. Would like to get one as well for my euro 5 tenere here in Norway, but wings said it is only euro 4 approved, and was not interested in making it euro 5 approved. Too bad it's not street legal for the 2021 in Norway 😑

Hmm, that's odd. I asked wings about that before and got the reply below.

I asked wings back in april. Thanks for the picture, I'll send it to the Norwegian public roads administration and ask if it is street legal for my 2021. If so, I'll probably get one as well.

Fitted a 90Nm spring from Rally raid products (great service and guys/set-up) and now race sag is spot on with only a few clicks of preload. Also bought one of their awesome single tool to enable front and rear wheel removal and their nylon replacement bolt for front fork protectors (apparently if you hit a rock with the steel Allen headed bolts it can rip the mount off the fork legs - eek). Dead chuffed.

True. I recommend  to change the standard metal screw to a plastic one. I got head of mine head cut and have threaded part stuck inside.

Yeah, the kit that is specific to the tenere was hard to find for me too.  I found it at Pacific Powersports.

Nice!  This winter i might go in and play around with shims. Last winter i added some preload and couldn't believe the amount of gunk floating around in them. A fresh oil change is needed for sure!

Bought this beauty to compliment the transformational Rally Raid open cartridge forks.

1500 mile Scotland trip test ride coming up the end of next week. I off road the bike too with a second set of wheels, so looking forward to properly trying it out when I get back.

160g lighter too!!!
