Search for members and PMs?

Apologies for the basic question but how can I search for a specific forum member?

And once found, how can I send a PM?

I have searched and searched with no luck. Some fora require a subscription to enable this but I couldn't even find how to do this.

Or is it tied to number of posts?

I am hoping to connect with Chris689 who may have experience of side engine / frame M12 bolt / thread fixing.

Many thanks in advance

Just seen it!

I managed to strip the thread whilst fitting the crash bars, dumb mistake, had the torque wrench on the wrong setting! Lucky for me we managed to get a helicoil in without having to drop the engine, pretty straightforward actually and now stronger than before!

Hi @Chris689, thanks. Good to hear you sorted the problem. I did exactly the same... However I am struggling to get the helicoil deep enough. I have run the helicoil threading tool numerous times and all looks fine. It sounds as if I need to keep trying... I will use a shorter helicoil (9mm) which hopefully will still be enough. Thanks again
