Vee Rubber VRM401 Adventure tyres

I bought these when I was having trouble getting tyres about a year ago.

I'd never known Vee Rubber to make tyres, but apparently they do.

Vee Rubber say they're a 60/40 on/off road tyre but I would consider them closer to 80-90 off road.

They are very aggressive, but as a result they work really well.

I found them to be excellent in sand and shallow mud.

The downside is they don't last very long if roads are involved. Mine are at 7000kms and are almost toast.

I've done highway with them and they are manageable at 100-110kph. But really this is not the ideal tyre set for that kind of riding

Wet roads are no problem so long as you aren't riding like a twat. Advice for any bike/tyre combination.

There is a bit of vibration at speed as you would expect.

Because I have a steering damper it's a bit hard to say whether the front wobbles much at speed. But on the highway I sort of get the impression they might do just that.

They are also quite cheap. About 100 bucks a set cheaper than the competition. Although the wear factor might offset any savings, it is none the less a cheap way to get rubber on a 21/18 ADV bike if required.

All in all a great tyre if you are predominantly doing off road work, and not doing any sort of highway miles.

Are you using the VRM401 tire?

Post a pic of your front and rear.  Looks like they are trying to mimic the TKC80.

How is the front lasting compared to the rear?   Always good to have another option given the supply issues we are having with other brands.

Yes, the VRM401.

Now you mention it they do look pretty much the same. The Vee Rubber tyres are probably a licensed copy, which is a common thing these days.

Front is wearing the same as the rear. They will need replacing at the same time.
