Anyone else change their springs and notice a change in the front-end?

I went for the Rally Rail open cartridge kit with the lesser 5.6 nm spring. Its brilliant and today i took it along a fast broken track and it was completely different from the standard set up.

Definitely could have. I just got back from a pretty lengthy camping trip and I think it’s all how you set up the suspension.I cranked the clicks and it handled great even when I pretty much loaded everything ontop of the rear carrier. Despite the weight plus a pillion, the bike handled pretty wonderful up and down 8,000 ft of elevation. I would not feel comfortable at all doing that on the OEM spring.

FWIW

 

6 foot, 220 pounds here with a 95nm spring. Takes 4 preload clicks to get 60mm sag with about a 20 pound rackless kit on the back.
