Yamaha rear trunk key cylinder fell out

Hi everyone,

little question that can be a big help

Bought my new t7 a few weeks ago, totally in love with it.

I take my lil for a ride and when i reach the destination, I notice the key cylinder of my rear yamaha trunk fell off... probably the screws inside were not tight and the vibrations made them a bit more loose.

The dealer can see my bike in two weeks... any idea on how to open the trunk when the cylinder is off so that i can take out some of the stuff left in and take it off my bike?

Thanks in advice!

They are made by givi so maybe if you have another box you could take off the barrel and push in to open? I'm assuming it's the whole thing that's fallen out.

Solved: using a screw or better a reverse clamp, try to turn the black plate at the bottom with three holes (two for the screws and one empty) counterclockwise. Pay attention in case you take off the whole thing that inside there is a tiny little metal ball that fits right on a spring and that helps the mechanism to move from closed to open. Better not to lose it
