I love dirtbikes. I like the challenge of an exhausting ride in the Mountains of Idaho. Sweating like a pig as I maneuver my bike up and over rocks, thru trails that kind of exist, and the satisfaction of sitting atop a mountain looking at views that not many other people will ever see.

I plan on taking my Tenere 700 to some of the places that I visit on my KTM and other past dirt/dual sport bikes and will build it for that purpose.

Finally had the opportunity to take the bike on a multiday tour on some incredibly scenic challenging OFTR trails that straddled Algonquin Park. Big shout out to Cory at Camel for protecting the bike.... seriously proud of the scraps and dents  this trip provided as souvenirs. Here are few blunders from the trip.

Got the 18x2.50 rear rim and the tractionator s/t tires mount up today.  Riding singletrack wasn't terrible on the stock tires, but it wasn't good either. Here's to more punishment for @tenerecanada

By any chance do you have an Excel rim part#, I am wanting to do the same thing, Excel says they don't have an application for the Tenure but I think they though I wanted a 4.00 rim?

@Svrider they don't have a wheel for the tenere, it's a 36 hole blank wheel that gets custom drilled for the tenere.  At this point they realy should be making a wheel though.

I bought the rim and spokes from off-the-road.de

I've got 956mi. On my 22t7 over half that off road. Used to race motocross. New springs going on shortly.

Definitely will be going off-road, that’s why I got it! Otherwise I’d have got something better on road.

I have 40 miles on my 2022 T7. I was thinking my GSA would be my kinda off road and touring bike and this T7 would be my all out...off road set up but I am not sure a WR450 wouldn't be better option.

I need to change out tires immediately. I was ripping around our farm and the T7 stock tires were breaking lose every time I was on the throttle. I also need a rally seat because the foot peg to seat height seems uncomfortable as I work thru the break-in mileage.

On the highway at 80mph, the T7 was rock solid and straight today.

Again, just getting into this bike and have some adjustments to work thru!

Started off with the Southern California BDR.  I’d ridden it exactly zero miles off road pior to the BDR. Ii worked well for the ride.

Plan on going offroad?????  Yes!!!

I'd like to re-visit many of the places that I drove Jeeps and side - bys, rode snowmobiles and trials bikes.  Have family and friends with 4 wheelers - let's go!!!

Also, there is an off-road vehicle park just 10 min. from my house.

Welcome to the forum. Good to see you changed out the OEM Pirellies prior to visiting Teakettle Jct.

Right?  They're great road tires, but they're NOT good in anything loose.

I ride and enduro and motocross... How does one define "offroad"? We have a gravel road outside our house, does that mean I go "offroad" every time I leave the driveway? Would I take my '22 t7 on the single track I takke my 300 2t? hell no!
I think realistically I got the t7 to be able to handle dirt roads and some moderately maintained 2track/atv  roads. This just isnt the platform for trials riding, it weighs what 4 trials bikes weigh!

As far as I can muster, and I'm modding it as such.   Plenty of footage out there of guys (pro and not) doing stuff far beyond my skill or determination level.  The bike simply isn't the limiting factor.
