June 24, 20241 yr I haven't had any issues with the unit itself - it works well and I have access to my navigating software (Gaia and Google Maps ) front and center/in my face! The RAM ball mount setup gives me the required stand-off from the windshield, but is probably not the best solution for really rocky terrain as the bouncing causes the unit to start drooping/sagging - it's so close to the windshield you cant really get a good grip on the knob to tighten it sufficiently. What I did to alleviate this - somewhat - is to use cut-off finger tips from some nitrile gloves wrapped around the balls to provide more friction and firm things up. I take the windshield off, slip the snipped off finger-tips of the nitrile gloves over the balls, position everything where I want it, and then crank down on the knob while I have unrestricted access to it, and then replace the wind shield. For road only use it's not an issue, but in fast, rocky terrain, with my set-up, I've had some sagging issues. Look at the first link in my original post for where I got the Carpuride idea from - that mount looks pretty solid, but I'm pretty sure that will limit you to the 5" version. If you come up with a better mounting option, please share. Edited June 24, 20241 yr by SXXP

Thanks Unfortunately, after downloading Locus Map to my phone, it doesn't appear as a selectable option on the Carpuride screen once Android Auto is launched. A quick Google search indicates it's not compatible with AA. Here's how Gaia (my nav app) appears as an AA compatible app on the Carpuride screen: And once selected and launched looks like this: Edited June 26, 20241 yr by SXXP
January 25Jan 25 Community Expert Has anyone else any experience I can get the w702 pro for £150 - Ido have a TT550 but intrigued by this- wondering how well it would fit on the nav bar with a standard screen
February 8Feb 8 I have recently picked up the 5” Chinese version of this unit. It works best with the supplied stylus for initialisation of helmet comms. Unit links up to my lexin G16 helmet comms quick and clearly. Finger control works, but the stylus works better! I run a hard wire line to my phone for the CarPlay end of it, which also supplies charging power to the phone. Plan now is to keep my not waterproof phone securely planted in the tank bag. The CarPlay screen seems pretty clear in sunlight, navigation is through Gaia, Backroads Map Book or Apple maps.
