T-700 My Least Modded Bike

Recommended Posts

I picked up a 2022 low mileage T-700 about 3 weeks ago.

So far it is the least modded bike I have owned. To date I have added the following items: Pro Grip 719 comfort grips. I fabbed some additional bar end weights to help tame the 5k to 7k rpm handlebar buzz. They really helped so I am going to fab some larger ones. Foot peg lowering brackets resulting in 20 mm lower and 10mm moved back. This makes for a much more relaxed cockpit. I got a rear rack from Nice CNC and it is a beauty to which I mounted my Nelson Rigg tail bag. I installed a tail tidy which really cleaned up the ass end of the bike. I upgraded the rear shock with an 80n/mm spring. The jury is still out on that one.

Then there is the big one that I will be doing soon after I stop fiddling with the suspension. That would be a DIY seat mod with some better foam to make it wider where my tush goes. After that it will just be "ride Sally ride." Well actually it will be ride Tim ride.

Here are some pics of the progress. Included is my mod on the KLR seat for your viewing pleasure.

Cheers mates.
