Installing Camel LED rear signals/flashers

Hi folks. Got these as the ones the PO installed were dim. Love the Camel folks but there doesn't seem to be any install info available. The new flashers come with about a foot of wire with metal connector prod things at the end. Looking at the bike do I have to take the whole back end apart (luggage racks, tail assembly, side panel, etc. to install these? Seems a bit much! Or should I just strip the old wires near the tail, cut the new wires short and solder/shrink wrap the ends right at the flashers? Thanks!
