Posted August 24, 2024Aug 24 Temps in Central Cal have been very pleasant the last few days. Thursday the high was 88. This is pretty rare for shake and bake Fresno in the middle of August. So what does a guy do on such a nice summer day? Yep time for a ride. I headed north on some fun curvy roads to Bass Lake, then on up to Beasore Meadows and Jones Store for one of their epic mountain burgers. After filling up the pot belly I headed another 15 minutes up Beasore road to Globe Rock. Globe rock is a freak of nature. Here is this almost perfectly round granite rock, perched like a giant golf ball on a tee. If I didn't know better I would think the Jolly Green Giant was about to pull his driver out of his bag and rip it. After all this excitement the game plan was more fun curves all the way home. How cool is that?
