Trouble getting Motoz on rear to seat

I’ve mounted a bunch of tires, and have never had this problem- the damned thing won’t seat the bead.

I’ve lubed the hell out of the rim and the tire… juiced it up to 80 PSI (without the valve core), tried bouncing it, tried the ratchet strap trick…

I’m out of ideas.

@Moopsie do you have a tube or are you running it tubeless?

Tubed.

That's weird. I've mounted a few of their tires with no trouble seating the bead.

Have you checked the rim to see if there are any burrs that might be catching the tire?

There's the conundrum... It LOOKS seated. Nice and even all the way round. None of the usual gaps you see when a bead isn't set right.

If just hasn't given me that satisfying "Pop" I'm used to. Granted, this is my first tire change on the T7 and also my first time with real bead lube, so maybe its just that slick that it isn't catching anything to pop over?

If it looks seated, I don't see a problem.  I have had many tires seat without making a big noise, especially using a bead lube.

So the verdict was?  I just changed out mine and although the front AX-41 gave me the " pop" when seating, my stiff walled MotoZ  RallZ did not. The bead strip? ( whatever the technical term is) shows evenly around both tires so I'm not worried about it. Are you seeing something different?

Ultimately determined that this must just be how it is as, like you said, the strip is nice and even all around.

I’ve got ~800 miles in now with no issues.

guess sometimes they don’t ping like I’m used to
