Waiting for my new extreme to arrive. Why do Yamaha fit tyres that are not extreme at all ? Now I have to bin a set

of brand new tyres and by knobbly set !

The vast majority of T7 riders never take their bikes in extreme places.

All the "Adv" bikes on the market run 50/50 tires.

As far as the manufactures are conserned, follow the money.

Some folks really like the stock Pirellis. Take them off at 0km and sell them on the forum.

The stock STRs are OK on hard packed gravel and bitumen.

Changed to the Scorpion Rally front and rear.

Then just Scorpion front and Motoz Tractionator Rallz rear ( which are currently on the 2nd set of rims )

Now have Dualventure front at E07 Dakar rear.

Seems a good combination for a variety of conditions but if I know there will be more off road then a quick wheel change and on my way.

Thanks mine will be used on muddy trails so the stock ones are rubbish. Thanks for the info on your tyres
