Kaoko Cruise Control mod

I bought a Kaoko Cruise Control for the Tenere 700 a year ago, but  was not very satisfied. It worked, but was difficult to adjust. Only if the road was clear for miles it was kind of usable. In some denser traffic it was not.

 

Past month I did the throttle spring mod: what it does is reduce the tension on the throttle spring. It resulted that I didn't have to set the cruise control so stiff so it would hold a steady speed and I was able to do some minor adjustments (minor adjustments are still somewhere in the 5-10km/u ballpark adjustments) when wanted.

 

It transformed the Kaoko cruise control from being unusable for me in doing what it supposed to do: hold the throttle steady while also being able to doing some minor adjustments. So for you who have  the same kaoko cruise control: this is a great mod to try.
