Posted September 25, 2024Sep 25 I have just recently purchased a 2024 T7, which I love. I am just after some advice on adding a lightbar. I am looking to mount it to the lower fork clamp using the existing M6 threaded holes. Has anyone added a lightbar to their T7 in this position? And if so, do you have some advise around Yamaha's sensitive electrical system? And if so do you has a diagram and measurements for the bracket that you used or does someone make these? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
September 25, 2024Sep 25 I used the Kedo kit - It was plug and play on my T7: LED Light Bar, e-approved, steering light, 1300lm/15W, incl. vehicle-specific bracket + plug, requires separate switch Application: Ténéré700 (XTZ690) 2019 and later (cannot be combined with towing eye item 31052 or mudguard item 31092) LED Light Bar LED auxiliary high beam that is also steered! Best illumination thanks to... They also sell just the bracket if you want to source your own lights for it. I added a switch so I can tur it off if needed.

September 30, 2024Sep 30 Rigid makes a nice one as well. Have it on my Super T, and have one for my T7 that I will be fitting later this year after riding season is over. SR-SERIES PRO 6" SPOT/FLOOD COMBO Black The SR-Series PRO LED Light Bars provide a sleek, low profile lighting solution that measures less than 2” tall. Thanks to improved LED technology, the SR-Series PRO now offers more light output than ever before with up to... I think I have Yamaha disease...

I use the ADV ENG mounts (Australian Made): ADV ENG Tenere 700 LED light bar mounts are in and being preped for shipping. I'll post more details up this afternoon. Cheers. F. And I used the Skene LQ -2075X controller. This will gaurantee you will not kill your ECU: Cyclops Skene IQ-275 LED Dimmer - Adventure Bike Australia Skene LED Dimmer by Cyclops Adventure Sports USA. The IQ-275 Intelligent Lighting Controller from Skene Design allows you to quickly and conveniently set the brightness of your auxiliary lights to match riding... Yes, it's expensive but it's cheaper than a new ECU and it gives you the ability to use the light as a running light. Edited October 4, 2024Oct 4 by dnrobertson
