MotoZ Dual Venture front tubeless tire cupping

I put on a Dual Venture tubeless tire (I run a tube in it) on the front shortly after buying the bike last year. I now have 6k miles of mostly dirt/gravel/offroad. I did the Colorado BDR on this front tire and a MotoZ Tractionator Adventure on the rear.

At around 4k miles while I was in Colorado I noticed the front lugs are wearing really strangely.

Has anyone else had this happen?

What front tire is everyone running with the MotoZ Adventure rear?

I’ve run the same tire combo and really liked it.  I’m currently still on the rear Tractionator Adventure with about 7k miles.

My Dual Venture tubeless front (also with a tube in it) was a great front tire, but I recall it wore out with not too many miles on it.  I don’t recall how many miles mine had when I replaced it, but I definitely didn’t get 6,000 miles out of it, so I think you’ve done okay with yours.

The Dual Venture is non-directional.  I’ve read somewhere that if you rotate the tire before it starts cupping, you can get a lot more life out of the tire.  By the time I noticed mine was cupping, it was basically too late to rotate it.

I swapped the Dual Venture for a Bridgestone Battlax AX-41, which is another fantastic front tire and also pairs well with the rear Tractionator Adventure.  Once the AX-41 is toast, I’m considering another Dual Venture.
