85 DR600 Thumper

As restrictions and attitudes toward the virus is diminishing, it was overdue to go for a group ride on my old school adventure bike. No electric leg on this one. 285km gingerly  round trip on gravel and pavement. Time to rid of the storage dust in exchange for road dust.

Yes they are a surprisingly good road/trail bikes! Basically stock exception of the aftermarket front fairing. New old stock on EBay. The only suspension upgrade is spacers installed in the forks, with heavier rated oil. Please post your 2 Dr's.

This model was the first motorcycle I ever bought brand new, I had the white version. I remember paying $2,600 for it on the road, sounds very cheap but back in those days I was only earning $110 for a 40 hour week

I try to keep my white Dr650RE  stock, I have it for about eleven years. 

The black one was originally Dr650 RSE, but I got rid of side panels from the tank and the front fairing is from different model of Dr ( Dakar or Djebel).
