Bar end thread size!

Aleksandar13

Question

Hello chaps,

Trying to find out what size the end bars are...?

Or if they are the same as the mt07 mt09 tracer 700 etc bar ends..

Also is the thread size of the mirrors M10x1.5mm pitch?

Thank you Aleks

I don't have a T7 yet, but I have a MT-09 bar on my XSR700.  That bar has M16 x 1.5 threads.  The original XSR bar (which I sold) was the same, as I transferred the original bar end weights to the MT-09 bar.

Take it to to a hardware store and see what fits..  Probably going to be 10X1.25..  I just went through this when changing the rear sprocket on my Fazer..

Thank you, I though someone has already taken them out and made a note.

Has anyone confirmed that the thread pitch of the stock bar end weights is 16x1.5 (as suggested above)?  This is the male end that threads into the stock handlebars.   At first glance, the pitch looks finer than 1.5 to me.

I want to use the stock bar end weights and handguards with aftermarket handlebars.  So I need a tap to cut threads into the aftermarket bars.

M16x1.5 is correct. I’ve threaded new bars for BarkBuster hand guard inserts (same threads as OEM bar end weights)
