My foot was jammed on the foot peg.

When I went to move my foot it was stuck in place. WTF.

The other day while trail riding I couldn't get my foot of the left peg.  My pegs are changed to Aluminum with high grip for the greasy clay I live on.

When trail riding I leaned back on the pegs to lighten the front end. That's when the heel of my boot pushed downhill on the kick stand, when I stood back up the  stub sticking out of the kickstand locked on my heel holding my foot in place. I didn't know until I whent to move my foot that it was stuck. There is no way I could have put my foot down if I had stopped.

This happened 4 or 5 times that ride.  I happened to be wearing my older trials boots and not the new adv. boots but that shouldn't matter.

I think I will be cutting off the stubb or modifying it.

Any one else have a similar experience?

That would scare the crap out of you what is the sole of your boots like. I ware 3 different sets of boots for different purposes but never had that problem. Bearing in mind that I still have the original pegs fitted.

The boots are Gaerne and have a soft flat sole for trials. The stand moves further from the peg if your foot pushes it down then clamps on the heel when its pulled back up. 20200622_200845(0).thumb.jpg.22717fc49156694496ce02b89130a65b.jpg

My foot got stuck to the kickstand on that knob. This happened while putting the stand down with Sidi adventure boots. The stand kept the bike up at least.

It would most likely be smart to remove the knob I’m thinking.

Someone mentioned they were injured by that stand extension when the bike fell over on their leg.

appears that it could be relocated several inches rearward with no problem..

If you can lower your kick stand without that extension, as I do cut it off as it serves no other purpose and looking at your photo with those boots it is inevitable that at some time it is going to cause you real dramas.

Also if you hit it with your heel the bike will start cutting out on the stand switch. Cut it off.

Good point with the switch. I will definately remove the kickstand stubb. Maybee weld it back on further back away from my foot.

that's funny, I just cut mine off yesterday! It was really messing with me also! I don't even have large feet (size 10 US)
