Great News from Yamaha!

I just got back from getting my Tenere serviced.

 

While I was there I was informed that Yamaha was opening up the ordering of the Tenere's today, so my wife's is finally going from a deposit, to ordered.

 

On top of this Yamaha had told the dealer that this order would be shipped out in August!

Me and my two friends ordered ours today. We were told the same timeline. The bikes should be here between Aug15-Sep 15...

I'm chuckling over here they haven't even filled the pre orders yet!!

I actually took it as a good sign, it seems to me this would indicate that all the PDP bikes are in process and would be arriving as initially indicated no later than the first week of  August. If I am not mistaken they haven't exceeded the original dead line, I know every body was hoping that they would get their bike by mid-June when the very first ones arrived but from the beginning they said the first of August was a possibility for some.  I know for those who put up a deposit and are waiting, seeing people get their bikes in mid-June makes July seem like the longest month ever.
