Fault on exhaust bracket?

Borgen

Question

Hi,

I have problems getting enough room between the muffler and pannier frame. Just did my 1000 km service, and had the opportunity to compare measurements with the dealers demo bike, and my bracket is 2,5 cm ( 1”) further away from the rear tire, in comparison to the demo bike.  Are there someone out there, who will share measurement from There bike?

thanks,

Allan

I belive you. My Givi pannier rack is so close that they designed it to have a rubber patch constantly touching the exhaust...

Just one observation. Not sure if measuring from tyre will give you the right measurements. The comparison between the frame and the exhaust holder should be more accurate.

The bracket position is so far out, that it leaves enough room to move the muffler to the inside of the bracket, and problem solved. Plenty of room for swing arm and pannier frame.
