View my activity: Richards ride through Big Bear!

Fire road ride from the valley to Big Bear. Big ADV Bike friendly ride. ADV tires recommended, no road tires. Bring plenty to drink. Several short sections of talcum powder sand a few ruts, but for the most part an easy ride. Give yourself 3-5 hours for the ride, depending on experience and skill. Beginner friendly.

Rock on. We've rode together that day. Which bike did yo ride there? I'm trying to remember who you were.

I rode the Kawasaki Versys 650. I rode point for most of the ride.

The KTM and I later went ahead to find and guide the ambulance back to the injured rider that broke his leg. The ambulance got lost and kept passing the head of the trail.

Let's go and do this Big Bear ride again on our T700s.

From what dealership did you get your T700? I got mine from HYR Redlands.

Man, I think I remember you. For sure I remember your bike lol

I was the two up in the F800GSA with my wife. We stayed at the incident spot the whole time until the ambulance arrived, after that we actually did not make to BB and decided to head home. It was a great ride and group that day.

I would love to repeat that ride on ours T7s! What are your days off?

I purchased my T7 at Del’Ammo of Redondo Beach last August and haven’t really had time to ride it lately — craving the dirt right now, though.

Have you been to Hungry Valley tracks/trails?

Oh yea, I remember you and your wife. I was out front most of the ride, so we didn't do much riding together in that group.

You're a really good rider, you got skills. Both of you handle the rougher sections with the wife like a good team.

I road behind you and your wife, after I stopped at a fork in the road to make sure the whole group made the turn.

I test road the T700 at that Dealership.

I work your typical office job. I have the weekends off.

I'm taking the T700 to two seperate off road ADV moto camping trips in Julian (San Diego) next month, with two different ADV rider groups.

Got it, I remember that, the group kind divided and we stayed behind at the beginning. The section after the fork was pretty fun. It was the first time for my wife riding on the dirt. Thanks, you're also great rider.

Weekends off sounds great. Maybe we can plan something for next weekend. After that, I only will have weekend off on Nov/14.

We went to that dealership to see the T700 in person, they had 4-5 that Saturday when I called. At 5pm when we got there all T7s were sold out. The one I've purchased was in the service area being assembled and we purchased right than.

Which days are your two camping trips in November? I love those camping trips. Are the groups full?

Are you planing to ride the LA-Barstow-Vegas this year?

Nov 7th-8th @ Julian with a some riders I'm planning for next year's Alaska trip. Some are new to ADV big bike riding off road. So this is a to get them some off road experience.

Nov. 13-15th @ Julian. We were bummed that the Gieco ride and camp Rally got cancelled from the same date. So, a bunch of us are just going to do our own off road rally. These are experienced ADV riders.

Sounds great, both dates. I was also planning to attend Geico ride. I wish I could go in one of these dates with you and even more the second date, it would be awesome  -- not sure if I am allowed to 'invite myself' though lol. Nov 7-8th I work. Nov 13-15th we are traveling to Guadalajara.

You haven't answer if you're planning to ride the LA-Barstow-Vegas this year? I am planning to ride this event on my T700.
