A nice 1st ride mostly off the tarmac.

I spent my 1st “real ride” on a nice 175 mile jaunt with a good mix old rail road grade, dirt roads, fire roads and some 2 track. This was my 1st ride and it was already one of the best adventure/ dual sport rides i can remember doing in a very long time!

My total for the day was just over 175 miles which approximately less than 20 of that was tarmac. This will not necessarily be my typical ride day with this bike. I plan to mostly use it for a combination of tarmac and dirt road/ fire road riding just exploring around everywhere i can.

Nice shakedown ride for you.  This bike is great, I'm just amazed how versatile it is. Question,  what is all that green stuff you're riding in? All we have out west is brown!

Have you had a chance to take to the mountains?  Missing the Sierra Nevada's. I use to live in Ceres and grew up in Mariposa.

Yep, I've been on 4wd roads up near Sonora Pass, just enough to realize how much I like the Pirellies for pavement,  gravel not so much. The scenery wasn't near as green as posted by the OP as we haven't had many Tstrms up there so the dust was choking,  requiring a good minute interval between riders.
