removing the mudflap i noticed wear on the swinging arm. have used a piece of thin rubber to protect it. hope it stays put or i will have to think of something else.

Same as mine, Noticed it when replacing the spring... On my ktm I used a penny bonded to the flap, as it was rubbing on the shock mount, here I'm not sure what will work. Keep us updated.

Try an industrial sized 24" zip tie around the front of the swing arm. I've been using this for years which saves wear on the swing arm by transferring the rubbing to a cheap, easily replaced zip tie.

Good idea! I’ve also had some luck heating it with a heat gun and re-forming it a little. Gotta be careful with that though.
