tiss the season of shorter days and continued off-road adventures... do you use helmet lights when riding offroad at night?  any recommendations you'd pass along?

I always use helmet light for off road night rides. No matter how good your bike lights are you need to see where you are looking and not always where the bike lights are pointing.I used to do night mtb races and also a few night time extreme enduro events and they are a definite must have.Ive just bodged an old exposure mtb light on my lid for this Thursday night, hope it works ok,I cut a couple of inches off the Wife’s hoover tube to mount it.😁

interesting... i have a helmet light for mountain biking.  Gloworm x2 and it works wonders for those speeds.

will have to attach it to my helmet and see how it works.

I used to use a bike connected helmet light for my dirt bike adventures but that light was on the heavy side.

was seeing what is being currently used and not too pricey.

This exposure light is a bit heavy and you can definitely feel the extra weight but the other lights I’ve got have separate battery packs and leads running to them, pain in the ass with having to route wires.

Ill have to see how it goes thurs night🏁
