Exhaust protectors

Does anyone use any exhaust protection like on the pictures?

I have installed the silicone type in the  first picture. It was for primarily for heat protection for soft luggage, in case the bag moves. It has been on for a  few months and holding up well, these are held on with cable ties. I have not dropped it on the exhaust side, so not sure what protection it may offer. I'm getting the Camel high exhaust system and expect it to be more necessary for protection of soft luggage. These are reasonable cheap and come in a variety of colours, CHEAP HEAT PROTECTION. Recommended!
