I forgot to say hello!

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone.

Been on the forum a little while, browsing away but just realised that I forgot to introduce myself.

I'm Connor, live in Kent (UK) and picked up my Tenere 700 in October. First time I've ever test ridden a bike and just needed to own it.

Previous bikes - Super Tenere, Pan ST1300, XJR1300, Bonneville T100. So a varied history. The missus has an Interceptor 650 in the garage which she adores.

There's also a Honda Grom in the corner that seen some bloody hard miles over the years but I can't bring myself to sell her.

Love the bike so far, apart from the F^*@#%^! spokes (grr)

Corroded within the first 3 weeks/300 miles. ACF'd from new, never saw salt or rain. Needless to say I haven't ridden the thing recently as I daren't let it see road salt. I'm sending my hubs off for a new set of spokes/rims to be made up in January so come Spring I'd have hopefully forgotten about that little niggle.

Covid aside - I normally do quite a bit of touring so looking forward to putting this bike through its paces. Think I'll go with Kriega or Enduristan Luggage. I used Kriega on my Triumph in the past and did get on well with it. In time, once people have trialed them I may look into the Holan Nomada Panniers as their smallest capacity option is narrower than the bars.

Just bought a Rally Seat off a kind gent on this forum, which I'm looking forward to getting on the bike. Other than that it's ready to rock and roll.

Who's gonna have their kettle on come May?

Take it easy everyone, best wishes for the new year.
