Footrest Blanking Plates / Tie-down hooks - Kriega OS base

Hi guys,  I have a question for you.

Is there some option to have a mounting point (rear footpegs) once you take down the rear pegs?

I was looking and found this one R&G Footrest Blanking Plates

Passengers only slow you down. Replacing a passenger footpeg mount with a weight-saving aluminum blanking plate is an easy route to race-bike looks.

but it doest not look like there is much space to mount to. Does anyone have those?

The other option I found seems pretty expensive and not sure it it will work with OS base.

I have Kriega OS base and T7 rally. It is already hard to mount the OS since the seat is higher than standart. Pretty tight mount.

Im looking for some nice light weight solution otherwise when traveling I have to put footpegs back to be able to mount OS base.

and you know.. once they down you don't want them there again 🙂

Thanks

I am sure there is enough space behind there to lash a strap, as long as you're not working with a massive buckle on the end. A fellow forum member posted this mod, which I have since copied. It is a great option, and you can space it outwards slightly with washers if you want more room in behind for lashing.

Made my own. Just a bit of flat steel with a loop similar to a chain link welded on.

Storage for a spare 10mm socket + a washer makes a great peg to wrap the OS base straps around. Trail tested, stays put nowuckas.

Where did you find a spare 10mm ? They are as elusive as hens teeth.

Kriega will come with their own footage mounts made of 11 mm thick Nylon. Not listed yet on their website but I think soon. Price will be £19.

Kept it simple, used stainless lifting eyes and add or subtract a washer

to set right. Happy riding. Oh fit 8mm bolt in unused hole, done.
