‘Into Africa’ by Sam Manicom

As I’m not on any social mediums any longer, this is the only place where I can reach out to fellow riders.

I just finished the book «Into Africa» by Sam Manicom, and I’m waiting for the other three books in the mail.

All I can say is wow. What a fantastic book. It feels like I just drove trough Africa myself and been away from home for eight months- I’m exhausted, yet inspired to go on adventures of my own.

Sam has a beautiful look at life and challenges, and he is very good at describing his journey.

I highly recommend this book to anyone in need of inspiration and adventure.

(Its obviously a motorcycle travel book, but to Sam, the motorcycle is ‘just’ a tool, and he doesn’t spend much time on talking about gear or bike choice, which was a pleasant change from what I feel is a very materialistic and money-oriented business. I think many of us get too caught up with the materialistic side of motorcycle travel, myself included.)

Johannes.
