Rear Rim Swap

DizzyNick

Question

For those of you who have swapped the rear rim for a narrower one, were you able to reuse the spokes or did you need a different length? What rim did you go with?

I want to swap the rear for a 2.50 takasago for better protection and tire choices for offroad

You will need different spokes. But you would want to change them anyway to get them stronger and rust resistant in stainless steel.

Thanks for the info! I see you did both rims, where did you order them from?

I got the rear rim off eBay but the front was sourced as an undrilled blank by Phil, a wheel builder here in Melbourne Australia. He modified the rear, drilled the front to suit and completed the assembly using custom SS spokes.
