Hello from sunny Glasgow, Scotland

Thought I’d join to get tips and tricks. I haven’t bought one yet but I’m 99% sure it’ll be a t7. Planning on doing some world touring next year and all the reviews are pointing to it. Nostalgia does play a part, I had a super tenere xtz750 about 20 years ago and the t7 appeals due to its back to basics approach. I’ll try and dig out an old pic. Cheers Guy

Hi .

There’s quite a few T7’s in Scotland. I don’t think you’ll regret buying it. Was my first road bike in nearly 20 years, have a 500cc smoker but it barely see’s the light of day so I won’t count it 😁.

Hopefully be getting some trips to Europe myself next year and I think it should be the ideal bike.

Hi Alan, well a bikes a bike. I’ve got an old Honda fmx650 which I’m trying to sell and currently on a Ducati hypermotard 796.

@Guys welcome to the Forum and maybe welcome back to the EU some day soon.

I like travelling to Scotland very much, have always enjoyed it a lot, though my T7 has not been there yet.

If you're looking for a back-to-the-roots bike, without all the electronic stuff they pack in other bikes these days, the T7 is the way to go. But besides, it also handles very well and you can play rough with it, it will never surprise you badly. The handling is always transparent and predictable, so you can travel long distances with less fatigue. Thus - to me - it is a real "adventure" bike in the sens of "just take it out of its shed and go where you want, be that Islay or India".
