Delay on delivery of preorders

Hi guys, 

 

The official Yamaha importer in Cyprus informed me only today that there is going to be a delay of 15-18 days in my preorder of the Yamaha Tenere 700.

 

Does anyone else had the same issue with delay in his/her preorder? 

 

Are the local dealers allowed to sell the new tenere to buyers who can go to the shop and buy the new tenere, before the delivery of the preorders? I mean, what's the point in placing the preorder since May when I could just wait for September and go to any local motorbike shop and buy it? 

 

Yamaha failed to comply to its own commitment.
