T7 Electronic Preload Shock Adjuster

Took our well-used Yamaha T7 to Martin at Torque Racing, the UK Service Centre for Rally Raid, Tractive and Touratech Suspension, today for a little bit more suspension development to evaluate a proposed Electronic Adjustable Preload Adjuster to fit onto our popular twin-piston Adventure shock, as an option rather than the manual hydraulic preload adjuster that it is supplied with now.
The slim motor and hydraulic pump sit within a small tube that should fit nicely by the right rear passenger footrest, and the 9 stage controller should be able to mount up in the fairing.
These conversion kits have been used successfully over several years on the big BMW GS bikes, so we thought it would be interesting to see if we could adapt it to fit the T7.
As well as giving preload adjustment at the touch of a button to compensate for changes in passenger and luggage loads, it can also be used to lower the rear of the bike to make it easier to get on and off the T7 for shorter riders.
Hopefully get to road, and off-road test it soon.
