Coolant smell when hot

Seakan

Question

Recently I noticed a coolant smell coming off of my bike when hot and not moving fast (trail, city, traffic)

I did notice the cap on my overtank was not sitting right so I thought that was it, but I guess its common for it to come "loose"

My temp seems to climb higher and stay slightly higher than before but they'll go back down when the fan turns on. I always check my temp and it has never went over what the fan can't handle (around 110c)

I've been keeping an eye out on the overflow tank and its at the full mark when I'm riding around but seems to fluctuate, there seems to be a decent flow in/out of the overflow tank which doesn't seem normal to me.

My bike is a 2021 with 9000kms no engine mods only did oil changes.

So my question is, is the smell normal and is the back and forth of coolant in the tank normal?

So I just took off my plastics to see if I was missing something, took my radiator cap off to check the coolant level and it was full to the top with bright blue fluid, thats good 👍 but then I looked at the underside of the cap and noticed some shiny aluminum specs.

Back story, I had changed the coolant on my FZ-07 at around 25000km before selling it and it had a bunch of crud and aluminum shavings.

Is this crap normal?!
