WELLSBORO FALL RIDE - 2 DAY GROUP RIDE

October 9-10 2021

Total distance – 386.3 miles

Distance day 1 – 216.2 miles

Distance day 2 – 170.1 miles

Day 1 - Itinerary

Start at 9:00 am

Start location:  Buckhorn Exxon 1 Buckhorn Rd, Bloomsburg, PA 17815

41°00'55.5"N 76°29'30.5"W

Day one route is 216.2 miles long, about 55% gravel/dirt  and features mostly smooth farm, state forest, game land, township roads. Surface of the roads is mostly well groomed gravel with occasional wash-outs, red clay which can be slippery, greasy when wet or dusty if dry.

Lunch; Forksville  General store – amazing cheese steak sandwiches.  

Gas stops; @ 89, 121, 175 miles from the start,  

Day one will end at Wellsboro, PA where we'll spend the night.

You'll need to arrange your own lodging for the night at Wellsboro PA, there are many options available ranging from free camping to 3stars hotels.

Sherwood motel, Canyon Motel, Penn Wells Lodge, Garden Cottages  and others.

(Optional) Diner – we can meet after the ride for a dinner at The Steak House or Gas Light Bar & Grill

 

Day2

Day 2 – Itinerary

(Optional) 8:00am breakfast at Wellsboro Diner

Start at 9:00 am

Location: Nittany Minit Mart 133 Tioga St. Wellsboro PA, 16901

Day two route is 170 miles long, about 40% gravel/dirt. A nice mix of forest gravel roads and scenic twisties. Some of the gravel roads we'll run are famous for being used in the US rally championship as a part of STPR rally event (https://stpr.org)

In addition we will experience great views of the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. Surface of the roads will be similar to the day one route.

Lunch – buy something at the start of day 2

 Gas stops; @ 50, 109, miles from the start, 

Notes:

Trailer parking: If you need to park your trailer there are few options available at the starting point such as Home Depo, Lowes, Park and Ride, Abandoned mall across the street and few major hotels. Please call a specific location to get a permission to park.
